The specialists in digital enterprise communications awarded for eCensus solution and Australia’s biggest SMS campaign in history
Winning the distinguished 2007 ADMA Mobile Marketing Award for the ‘B2B or Enterprise Applications’ category for the mobile messaging solution deployed during the 2006 ABS Census project, David Blakers, CEO of Dialect Interactive was quick to thank his team.
“This is the second year in a row that Dialect has won the B2B category at the MMA awards which is a real honour given the quality of entries this year, and is a clear indicator that Dialect Interactive is leading the market in corporate messaging solutions. The campaign success was made possible thanks to the outstanding efforts of the technical team at Dialect.”
Dialect Interactive worked with industry leading Call Centre provider SalesForce to deliver one of the largest mobile messaging solutions deployed in Australian corporate history as part of the 2006 ABS Census project.
David explained the key elements of the service in further detail, “The Census project relied heavily on an SMS messaging solution deployed by Dialect Interactive, that enabled SalesForce’s Call Centre agents to communicate effectively with over 20,000 Census paper collection walkers. The use of SMS as a primary communication channel during the project helped eliminate over 1M outbound calls to the walkers. SalesForce were able to advise collectors via text message that they were not required to collect individual Census papers where households had elected to complete the Census form online using eCensus.”
Approximately 9 per cent of Australian households used the new eCensus application during the 2006 Census of Population and Housing, an alternative to the paper Census form allowing Australians to complete their census form online. The ABS expects eCensus will become the primary application channel for the 2011 Census, estimating around 35 per cent of all Australians will choose to use this method instead.
